AGAIN 2nd gen, your argument is invalid

ben can run 32" M/Ts with no lift and old man sagging suspension, so why is it so hard to run 1 " bigger A/Ts with 2.5" of lift:confused:

Every truck is gonna be different no matter what, but prepare for the worse. Jon had about 2.5'' of lift and he had to cut out a ton all around on his truck. But i had 3 and 4 out back and didn't have to do anything to the rear and had to do a bit of trimming of plastic and the pinch weld mod. Now i have to go cut off part of my wheel well due to my spacers..

just be prepared. You could have to..and might not...

Are you still running your sway bar?

    you don't know that yet..and your a 2nd gen..haha

you'll have to run 255/85s and you should be fine who cares if you have to pound on the truck a little

his are also super skiny. width has to do with a lot of it, as does the rim and lift. There are a lot of factors. sway bar too and the fact your an I4 and im a V6 could make all the difference.

Even with an extra 200# up front i doubt i'll lose much lift. The spring rates were designed for a 4x4 DC V6 and I'm already 4-500lbs less with the reg cab. Even if I lose 1/2 an inch I already have the cab chop plates and ditched the mud flaps. and I'll still be @ 3.25" above stock

and i wanted to go to bed..

    yes, sway bar

i was fine with trimming a little, i saw some article where a guy had a 1.5" lift and fit 33s by cutting a bit out of the plastic guard and pounding down the pinch and a bit out back. i was hoping i didnt need to do anything out back and only trim some and the pinch up front

bilsteins all around at 2.5 and a 2" lift in the back, either with an AAL or a semi custom leaf pack

ill pound on the truck a lil, dont want to cut everything to shreds

ill be on stock rims btw

right..but the width and rim is what could come and bit you in the ass haha i didn't have to do any trimming till after i put my spacers on. And if you don't get the right BS you'll not only rub the UCAs bad(which btw, you should get ASAP with that much lift on a 2nd gen) or the out fenders. You'll just have to see really.

Mark, it'll be fine. Quit worrying about it and just cross the bridge when you get there. You very well could not have to do much. Keeping the sway bar on will help avoid some trimming.

    and Ben...my 33s stuff...

I can only count to 4 and sometimes 7 (i will be shocked if you get that joke)

how does keeping the sway bar minimize trimming.... by limiting travel?
that's a great idea I'm going to go put mine back on

yalls is confusing me! The "bridge" will be in a couple of weeks. I will probably start ordering the front lift and getting the rear put together and a week or two after that i will be buying tires. i would rather not buy my 33s and realize i have to mutilate my wheel wells to wheel. where is the thread with people on a 2.5" lift and 33s!

also we already went over this. i thought we agreed my stock rims have enough BS that i will be gravy

Yea, it doesn't let the front IFS really flex at all..and it also take away flex in the rear..idk even know were mine is..and don't care..ill take the flex. I love being able to hit curbs or speed bumps at a slight angle at 20-30mph and barely feel it.
