Resi's

I dont want to sound like a troll but ive been looking into icon rear shock up grades from my 5100's. But im kinda confused on the purpose of a external resi? What does it do exactly?

 

Non resi heats up quicker and performs worse, at least I think. There will be plenty of responses though.

 

I got the basis I just want to know the exact purpose.

Personally, unless you are out running in the desert you don't need resi shocks unless you want the look. They hold more oil which allows the shock to cool faster and stay cool. If you are not cycling your shocks a lot then don't spend the cash on resi's

 

Okay and remote resi's are adjusted im guessing?

You can change the valving on rebuild-able shocks. I have the icon 2.5 rear resi and they are smoooth as warm butta over speed bumps, and whoops. Depending on what you want you should be fine with 2.0 rear shocks.
