    $250 for a rebuild and $50 for a new top plate. They will also convert them to extended travel when they are apart. Hope this is helpful

    If you are going to 'buy' a top plate for that, I would investigate if one of the other manufacturers (think racing shocks) to make sure you don't have the same crack a year later.

    I am by no means trying to tread jack or be a dick but they need $300 in work.... at $550+$300=$850 Seems like a lot since there is someone else selling some icons that were just rebuilt for $650.

    At 20,000 miles, they certainly don't need any work other than replacing that top hat which the OP could get for free from ICON.

    Food for thought:

    I have Icon coilovers. So far no problems, HOWEVER: If I were to crack a top plate from normal usage, call them, and they wanted to charge me for the replacement top plate, I'd ship them back both the C/Os and tell them to keep them. Then I'd go with another brand.

    I would seriously advise against paying for a new top plate.
