Couple of questions. My brother got me some new bulbs for my truck that were off ebay and have chinese/japanese writing on them. They are the "HID" halogen bulbs so they have a semi bluish tint to them but the box says that they are 100/90W. My question is if I put them in and run them are they going to be too hot and cause damage to the housing or should they be ok.

Following this I like they yellow bulbs I have seen in some peoples fog lights. If I have the new bulbs would you recommend getting the yellow fog lights or getting the matching bluish tinted ones?

    Thanks in advance.

They'll most likely melt your headlight wiring harness due to the wattage of the bulbs. OEM bulbs are 55/65W. Throw those away, "bluish" tinted bulbs are useless in throwing more light on the road, in actuality, you'll probably lose usable light thrown on the road.

I guess I'll just put them back up on ebay or throw them out. They were cheap anyways. So what would you say is the highest wattage that I should get if I do get new bulbs instead of real HID's. And any opinions about yellow fog bulbs?

Yeah, that's fine, I think those are the stock wattage numbers.

Looks like a decent kit. So you changed your mind about HIDs? If so, don't get bulbs over 6000K color temp., they'll be too blue.

I was looking up bulbs and that set up came along so I just thought I would see what everyone thought. If they dont put out much extra light then I might as well just get bulbs and save the money for some good off-road/driving type lights.

And as far as the fog lights go I am doing the yellow ones. Thanks again.
