Bill, My daughter is only 11, so they are not to compatible.

Paul, keep digging man. That really sucks thou.

On a bit of a positive note, Bill Penney just told me they are going to replace my trailer light harness for free. I showed them that it was cracked and asked if Bumper to Bumper would cover it. They have one on order for me.

All the tech's at Bill Penney were admiring your work when I was in there for an oil change this past Saturday and getting them to look at my truck so they could order the parts for the TSB.

Awesome! They were asking me about my sliders when I was there today. 3 of them were walking around my truck while the guy was writing down the mileage.

Good lookin out Justin.. Sub'd for tax return purposes.. Tried to rep you but I got to spread some love first! LOL!! +1 on the way though!

Do they ever ask you guys about my truck!? I do everything through Bill Penney when I can afford it and they roll out the red carpet for me every time they see me. LOL! I even had one of their tech's come up to me one time in Sammy T's and say he knew me because of my truck and that everyone in the back loves it! LOL!

I really think we would make a Poster board inside or Bill Penney Toyota Commercial if we did that for them! I think we need to add that to the list of things to do! Convoy to Bill Penney!

Talked to state farm. They said "its not rare for vehicles to appreciate in value. We don't care if we have your business, either fix it or sell it as salvage." So what do you guys think I should do?

take the check for more than its worth.

when I had to deal with insurance with my truck it took them like 31 days to cut me a check. They didnt want to give me anything what it was worth something like 19k for a 2.5 year old truck yea right. luckily i had extra coverage and over 6k in reciepts. get all that you can from them.

The local agent said that. The adjuster also said "we aren't going to buy you a new truck just cause you want one". All this without me even showing a lick of anger. They also said "if you want to fight this then well see you in court". I called the guy who did the estimate and he said in the last year a lot of insurance companies have been treating their customers this way.

im curious paul, and in no way take this the wrong way because i mean absolutely no harm, but are you aware of the amendment to alabama's mandatory insurance law?

if not then ill tell ya. (my mom works for the largest law firm in the southeast and one of the lawyers up there told us about it) hidden in a bunch of legal jargon that only lawyers and insurance people can decipher it states something along the lines of if there is ice in or around the roadways that can impede or harm travel an individuals car insurance is null and void because the road can be deemed, if necessary by governing official(which he said can be either law enforcement or a local agent), impassible. this may be the card they are holding in their back pocket and the reason they are so eager to let you get upset and take them to court.

like i said i meant no ill will, harm, or disrespect by stating this i am merely trying to act as a friend trying to share his knowledge with another friend. the reason why this topic was ever brought up in my parents household is because my father received a ticket a few years back when he was on his way back from a jobsite in the middle of the night to check on it and the ticket was for speeding and a $500 driving without valid insurance ticket because the trooper said he had seen ice in that stretch of road and was using his judgement to deem it impassable even though there were no signs nor any other way to know it other than to talk to him directly. just thought i would try and share my prior knowledge and give you background to why i am saying what im saying.

btw if you ask an insurance agent about this whether he be a friend or family member they will not admit to it or admit to having any knowledge of it, kind of a fight club thing, because i am sure that if the general population was aware of this and brought it into the mainstream it would be deemed unconstitutional.
