wheel info help

    i want to get the mickey thompson sidebiterz. i want 15x10 wheel but im not sure what offset and backspacing to get i have 33x12.50s with a 3 inch lift.

    i read the chart but not sure if i understand the off set. i have mickey thompson beadlocks now 15x10 and is a deep dish wheel.

    thanks for the help guys just wanting to make sure i get the right thing and what will look best

    Generally speaking you'll want a wheel with backspacing significantly less than stock (which is 4.5" for first gens). I'll let someone who is running 33x12.5's on a first gen chime in for more details.

    so with a stock wheel is that where it mounts to the hub to the back edge of the wheel?

    and with a after market wheel is the backspacing from where it mounts to the hub to the front edge of the wheel

    I do not understand your question.

    Backspacing is the distance from the wheel mounting point to the back edge of the rim.

    oh ok i understand i was confsued since the stock wheels arent a deep wheel and my mickeythompson wheels are a deep dish style wheel. so the less amount of bakspacing the larger the lip u will have on the wheel since the mounting. im sorry if im confusing and not explaining it real well

    The lip size really has much more to do with spoke and mounting point design than the backspacing.

    Example: if you throw a wheel spacer on, you effectively change the backspacing but not the lip size

    what i have found for 15x10 are backspacing 3.5" and offset -53mm
