Does this look normal to y'all? I finally got my gun all pieced together so I cycled a few rounds through it. When I looked at the bullets after I ejected them they all had this "V" shape scratched into the bullet. Is it normal for them to rub on the feedramps that bad? I can see copper residue on them. Here are a couple of pics

I personally would not worry about it if the gun functions fine.

Is the upper and barrel M4 ramps? If the ramps match the upper I would just say shoot it.

    Forever sideways and smiling :D
From what I've seen - completely normal. Just soft copper jacket coming in contact with the harder metal of the body of the upper receiver.

Just got this today, its a Stag model 3. This is the first gun registered in my name. I plan on throwing on a quad rail system, vertical grip, match grade trigger, a upgraded pistol grip, and some sort of advanced optic system.

    That's a great buy.

I'm looking for a deal on their 1-4x Viper PST but it seems to stay stuck at $499

.22 for sure. Cost being the deciding factor.

Most 22 cans are sub $400 plus $200 for the tax. Bricks of 22 can be found very cheap.

300 Blackout= Quality upper will cost you 1300 all said and done with irons and optic, maybe more. Ammo is hovering at a just under $1 a shot for hte subsonic stuff. Even if you reload its $.50 a shot.

You bring up good points...and i'd likely get a WHOLE lot more shooting time with the 22 than the 300BLK

plus i already have the 22 and it's a lot of fun already...so why not just add to that fun for just a few hundred more
