radiantor fluid pink?

I notice the truck's radiator fluid is pink?
they are always greenish/blue... where can i get pink? last time I was at the auto store, I sure dont see pink fluid? and what u guys suggest to fluid and fill?

The Prestone Long Life will work fine and it is for all makes. No problem. Don't waste money at Toyota.

 

Radiator fluids are not like engine oils that are mostly compatible, many times you won't have a good outcome if you start mixing radiator fluids.

I just go to the dealer and get the pink stuff, especially since that's something that I don't change very often. I think Toyota says every 100k or so you should change it. Personally, I drain and refill the fluid every 30k or so, easy to do and I sleep better

 

I just flushed mine and put the green stuff in..no problems so far. Thats also what was in there when I got the truck..Havent had a problem yet.

 

well, does the pink turns in to black or gray? because the green/blue will turn to greyish crap with you dont change it in a while.

 

not that I know of..pink stays pink..Maybe turns to a red?

 

The pink kinds are the 'long life' fluids. My bf works at GM as a Service Tech, he says they use the same stuff in the GM's/Chevy's, according to him they are not worth the extra $$ and wouldn't suggest waiting till 100k to change it. But he said it is not compatible with the regular green antifreeze so you have to make sure to throughly flush all the pink fluid out to replace it. I was just asking him about it a couple weeks ago when I was doing the 20k on my truck.

I see a jug of Toyota-Scion Long-Life Antifreeze/Coolant on Ebay for $19.75 (I can't post a link cause ebay is blocked at work).
"Peak Long Life" states mixes with any color antifreeze.

i might just stick with the pink, the manual does not say anything about the when to change it... I guess I'll do it at 50k... what do u guys think?

 

Coolant fluid is pink. If so, Its Toyotas "Super Life" coolant. They say you can go 75,000 to 100,000 miles on that coolant because it recycles itself.

if you do change it then go with the Toyota Super Life again or Prestone 50/50

 

I have am currently running the Prestone 50/50 mix. I have no issues with it. In about 50k I think I will go back with what the dealership offers.
