Hey all, my door handle silver lever part has developed a crack, and I ordered a replacement part off Rock Auto.

However, comma, I have zero clue how to replace the door handle, much less get access to it.

I have no problems with getting under the hood of my truck, but my door panels are mysterious places filled with all sorts of magic and wizardry, so i've never fucked with them.

    Please help.

I recently replaced my drivers side door handle. Super easy just google and you can find a write up for it.

Ive scoured google. If there was a write up from ttora, tundra solutions, taco world, or 4runners, I would have stumbled across it

so have you replaced it yet? I'm going to do it next weekend. Some insight might be nice before I try to figure it out myself.

irrelevant thought but I'd like to say it anyways. i paid $21.35 for the handle and got the wrong color. There was 2 colors at the website I ordered it from. Moon mist and OAK. The interior trim piece in my truck is like light tan so I thought I'd go with OAK. Oak is brown and moon mist is something else. Who has my color?? lol I guess I gotta pull on a brown handle for the next 13 years, my light brown one lasted that long.

no i didn't but it looks pretty straight forward. I got my used one off by taking the screw off and sliding it off. Reason I couldn't install the new one is because I bought the wrong side :( I swore I bought the left side but I checked my order and it says right.

Also for the color issue, I got the right color. I think it's because my interior pieces are slighty faded and the picture online just looks wayyy darker.

Ya it was very easy took about an hour maybe. Just pull your door panel off (be careful not to break the tabs off) then you just unscrew the handle and remove the rods from it and then put it back together!

    Good luck
