    I was out handgun shopping tonight, wound up at a local armory. They have the glock17 for 565 plus tax..Includes gun,2 mags,case and lock. Around $600 out the door after taxes and stuff. Does this sound reasonable, or keep shopping? this will be my first handgun purchase.

    I picked up my Glock 17 for around $585 OTD. It came with the 2 mags, case, lock, and speed loader.

    just looked it up at cabelas, and it comes with everything but the lock for $549.99..Then tax, so it would be about the same price you paid.

    Personally, for me...I won't buy a new Glock bc of the abundance of used ones on the market...and they run between 350-500 usually

    Buying new I think that's about par for the course

    The only thing of real value is the mags...if a lock is necessary you should be able to pick one up at any sporting goods store for $5

    Gen 3 or 4? thats a $40 or so diffrence. perks of buying used are you can find them with a holster,extra mags,aftermarket sights,ect for less then new. great choice with glock tho.

    OME 881, Nitrochargers front and rear, diff drop, Wheelers 3 Leaf AAL, Supertop, shitty brush guard and a hole in the muffler
    G 30 probably picked it up about 7 years ago brand new and yeah, it was about 540 out the door. Great pistol though, and agreed with above, used may not be a bad idea, but new is yours and yours only.

    I bought a Glock 35 for $549.00 plus tax here in Cali. Came with 2 mags,lock and speed loader. But only 10 round mags. Great gun though. This is a .40 cal.

    Edit: It needs some nightsights when I get the money. It's my main HD gun and sits next to my bed every night locked up whenever I leave the house during the day. Well over 3,000 rounds fired with only 8 jams since I've owned it.
