Toku has a 6" lift and one of the best looking trucks on any site.

in that pictures I think it was something like 8" of lift, I had the CO's cranked up. But I had to lower it about an inch, because it took about 1 mo to destroy my CV Boots at that height.

Lifting it up and modifying it has absolutely nothing to do with a bigger truck.

    It's about personalizing your ride.:headbang:

As for buying a Ford? I had a 2000 Silverado. It got way better gas milage than my Taco. But I'd never trade this Taco for a Chevy of Ford.

It's up to you? Do what you want with your truck.

After all? It is your truck!:amen:

The F150's are nice but the Taco looks better (body lines, stance, etc).

Of the Tacoma's, I would have to say Toku has the nicest rig. It'll kick your ass and look good doing it!

They get stuck between trees :D

I looked at Fullsize Fords for a long time. Wanted to get one and put a massive lift on it and mud it like everyone else in my area.... I'm glad I didn't. My Taco is the perfect size for what I want IMHO. It just needs more ground clearance. One day I will have 35"s on this truck.

If you go with the 9in your probably going have to regear, don't know if you want to go to all that trouble just for looks and also with a 9in lift your taco will be slow as hell.

I have owned bigger trucks and my last one after my taco was a 08.5 nissan titan quad cab.Nice truck but didnt take me long to get that stuck on the beach lol...Sorry but Taco's are just a good pick up all around and get silly side ways around all the other big trucks that are stuck in the mud.IDK I have had my taco in some sketchy situations with only 2 wheels on the ground and having to do a 50 point turn to back out of a wash out up a high mountain logging rd with the nose pointed into an almost virtical climbe and she made it out.Plus your going to get over 300 thousand mls before any thing really breaks or whears out most times.33's are fine with a 6 ich full travel. Its all about good suspension and keep it square dont over tork cv boots will tear out pretty quik.:D

I just did a 3 inch lift....I keep mine in the garage, protected from those Gremlinz outside :D

My neighbor has a F150 with 6inch lift, looks good but the birds like using it as a toilet....

Imo a 6 inch is about perfect.Every one has there own preference thow. You can run up to a 35 inch tire, but with a 35 you start to get into boarder line regearing.Your not going to loose power from the lift so much as the tire size.I replaced the ring and pinion in my taco and a ring gear ran for like 400 and a pinion for like 700.Not cheap. With a bolt on 6 inch and maybe some full travel coil overs to extend suspension travel with some uper controll arms with some nice 33-1250 on a deep offset wheel is plenty cool plus full function and good ride quality rather than having something that drifts to every slope of the rd.You can gain another 1.5 in ht with coil over but would not exceed that amount. If you want more than that which Imo is not needed for looks or other wise best bet would to add a body lift but then you getting pretty top heavy and performance is going to suffer. But it will look cool.
