A friend of mine has a 250 can't remember, I think it was a '92 and that thing still runs like new to this day. That model was very similar if not the same design as the 400. We both bought 400's brand new the same day together. His wife rode the 250 which was his old one. I loved my 400 but the only complaint I/we had was cold starts. They were great, but starting them on a cold day was a pita. Once warmed up though, I loved it. Now the 250 didn't have that problem, it actually seemed more reliable than the 400's which were 2002's.

Don't really bleed them alot, just makes it super easy to do by yourself, plus they cost like 12 or 13 dollars for 2 of them so why not???

Would be awesome if you could find out. I will do more research on my own but if he knows would be great!!!

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Didn't know there was a thread for this, 400EX is a great machine, I love mine more each time I ride it! So glad I went back to quads, I can ride all year!

Snow is a blast! Anxious for summer though, dying to get up to the mountains and go ride, 400EX is supposed to be one of the best trail quads out there. My friend's 01 has been good to him and it kicks butt offroad from what I have seen.

Can anybody give me some advice. Ive never been on a quad and im looking at getting 1. I dont want to get something thats crazy fast that i can kill myself but i also dont wanna get something that as soon as i learn to ride i get bored of. Ive looked at a raptor 660 and a yzf 450 that was souped up and it was very fast. Would a 400 be sufficient??

A 400 would be perfect, I would look at the Suzuki ltz400 or the Kawasaki kfx400 or a newer 400ex that has reverse!! If money isn't a factor try and get one that is fuel injected as modern day gas and carbs don't get along real well!!!

This. I have 2 friends with ltz400's, one carbed the other FI. The carbed one has problems if not ridden weekly. The FI one is a beast that rapes my grizz 700!
