That is NOT soft sand. A fucking civic could have gone through that. Grabbers have very stiff sidewalls. They don't float for shit. Great tire in the dirt tho.

nelson18matt would agree with me. He's got grabbers. Skip to 40 second mark.

Cool video and I'm sure glad I can turn my speakers off. That music sucks. ;)

Interesting about the grabbers. I had heard they were actually pretty good in the sand.

question though for you desert guys, I know in general that wider is better for sand, but can any of you tell my how 33x10.50s do? I'm headed to the dunes this weekend with our local club. It will be my first time in the sand with my Tacoma and I'm thinking I'll dop my air pressure to 8psi or so and hope for the best. BFG KM2's btw.

Not my video, just used to prove a point. :)

You'll be fine. I used to have the KM1's in a 33x10.50. You have 4x4 so you won't even have to drop that low. 12 psi and keep the skinny pedal down. If you get stuck that gives you some psi to play with as well. 8 is about as low as you wanna go without beadlocks.

that video shows nothing. that is not soft sand, the jeep is not stuck, and no tits.

the grabbers are a horrible dune tire. there is a huge difference between soft sand dunes and soft desert sand washes.

out at pismo i was aired down to 8 PSI and i was still getting stuck left and right. even at speed the grabbers only wanted to dig to china.

if you are a 2WD vehicle you do not want grabbers at the dunes... unless your 2WD vehicle is a 900+ HP trophy truck

Hey thanks for the advise. Had a good time at the dunes on Saturday. KM2s did great actually. Only thing missing was LT suspension that was set up better for stuff like this.
