Its your airbag light... I wouldn't be concerned unless it stays on.

    Yes.
May need to be reset. If it is staying on that is.

If you look closely at it, it clearly looks like a seated pregnant woman. The light means just that, she's preggers! The light will flash one time per baby, as in 5 flashes means quintuplets. Congratulations! Hope that's a double cab!;)

it means your clock spring is bad or going bad. Mine got replaced under my 100000 mile warranty, would have cost me 300 bucks, while it was in the shop they found a few oil leaks and fixed them, another 2700 that it saved me.

My 2005's clock spring went bad (the air bag light came on) without any prior warning or brief flashing, etc.

That was in 2008 and was about $300 to fix then. The only 'failure' I had to pay for... (other than fixing the harsh ride from the too soft rear springs, the dealer didn't offer to fix or tell me about a TSB... this was before I joined TW).

Im confused...is the airbag light supposed to blink after you start the truck or does that mean there is a problem? And if it does blink... how many times?

    Yes.
If it just blinks when you start the truck and then goes out, you're fine. A lot of lights come on with start-up. If it continues to blink or stays on, they you have an issue.

I know many have had the clock spring problem. I did not. However, I had a friend ride in my truck a few times, and let him drive a few times. Every time he did, the air bag light would come on and the system was shut off. He's a BIG guy and it would actually register as the vehicle being in an accident. (Airbags didn't deploy though.) Practically weekly trips to dealer to have them recalibrate.
