I'm down with soon also! Will someone who knows the area and is a logistical ninja fabricate a schedule with locations?? Maybe cruise up and meet at a camp site Friday night then wheel Saturday and cruise home Sunday?

    Items to bring:
    BEER
    Strippers
    Trucks
    Fire stuff
    Your biggest bag of awesomeness!

Mix all that up for a great time!

I might not have a truck for a trip soon. Truck was suppose to go to a shop this week, but still havent heard back. I'll see if they actually get back to me tomorrow, if not guess its time to start building a bedcage so I can have rear shocks again.

Im not missing a trip like this.

well more spring time-ish would work better for me... and the less experienced lol (unless some of you want a crash course in cold-weather camping) lol

I'd like to learn the survival requirements for cold weather camping. But a crash course, no thanks. The tent we have lets too much wind through it for cold weather.

Currently looking for 1 or 2 more army blankets though! Need at least one to put on the base of the tent so the dogs claws dont shred out tent up.

The last time I was camping in Yankee springs this last fall it got into the mid 40's and we just barely kept warm enough.

    Yes.
I previously lived in Wisconsin for eighteen years... So, I'm familiar. Haha.

It's warm this year! [IMG] I'm fairly sure we will be around for a couple more months. Although I know my house in AZ misses me right now.

I'm fairly sure that me a sleeping bag a few blankets would probly do me alright. I do have tent that I'll bring to. So any clue as to where we would do this at??? Drummond island is about the extent of my sights I've seen of the UP

Depending on where the experienced guys go...but from what I've seen on the map, I like the area north of 28 to the lake, between 77 and co rd 407. Anyone been in that area? Newberry state forest? Looks like a lot of trails...

So, just had an old friend comment on Facebook about me being scared to get stuck again...in reference to the video of Chris graciously testing the welds on his bumper to pull me out. He continues to say, and have to have the ranger pull you out again. Even though there is clearly TRD bedside stickers. He thought he saw a ford emblem in the grill. :D:D. Flippin tards!

He just wishes his ranger had recovery capabilities! I doubt he would've attempted to den touch that hole cuz he would know better that his ranger doesn't stand a chance

Well sure Ford guys must be putting TRD stickers on there truck so it will think its a Yoda. You know like a state of mind thing, if it thinks its a yoda maybe it will not break long enough to even attempt that hole.

But this may be a problem that needs to be taken care of. Mistaking my truck for a ranger.

Yup, had some snow for a little while. Most all of it was just last night. Had the fj at work yesterday and wished I had driven the taco.

I'm really diggin a trip to Rocks and Valley's sometime this summer. There is rustic camping nearby I think so we could make a decent trip out of it.

You guys are wusses! I dog-sled for a hobby, I've got all sorts of cold-weather stuff. Heck, I'll bring the dog trailer and sled with me! :)

Got a nice catalytic heater, good sleeping bags, and, most importantly, good clothes.

Seriously, if I can schedule it, count me in. I'll be getting my new-to-me Taco soon. I've got some friends in the UP. If you like dogs, that is :)
