nic, i tried out a new technique with the paracord last night. (spiral half knot)

 

nice, i like what you did with the handle...my grandpa wants me make him a gun sling for his new rifle.

 

That might be a decent knot for that. I got the idea from here.

that is wide. I don't know of any knots like that

 

just link the cobra knot together, it will have and "x" pattern down the middle

 

there was another one, i cant remember the name of the knot, its about 2"

 

ah, so you just do 2 of the king cobra and then interweave the sides together.

are the bracelets you are doing the king cobra or just the cobra?

 

pretty much, you do two knots normal, then criss cross the inner strands and it links them.

i do the king, it gives you double the length, so my 7" bracelets have about 14' instead of 7'

 

I'm going to do the king for mine and the collars for my dogs, but just the cobra for my son's bracelets. it will look ridiculous with his small wrists.

 

thats the difference between me and richard cranium, he uses cobra and plastic buckles, beads, or knots.

i use the king cobra and shackle.

i did the plastic buckle for my dogs on their first collars. I will do the shackle now. It looks much cleaner to me.

 

i did the cobra for my little sisters. also for the tri color, the king with 3 colors was wayyyy too bulky. if my actual navy ever gets here, im gonna use the linked cobra for the collar.

 

i just got my navy and white in yesterday with my knife so i can make the yankee one for my son.

 

i got a steel ring and a clip im gonna try...i figured tryin to pin a shackle on a squigly dog might be difficult.

i ordered navy but when i got it, it was like a steel grey blue not the color for yankees, i was kinda upset. its a pretty color but not what i needed.

 

have you seen these? adjustable shackles

I want some but i don't want to pay $8 a piece

 

no, thats pretty awesome.

 

I'm thinking about trying to make the adjustable part out of wood. That way the bracelet could break away if snagged on something.
