Hello all! I’m new to the group. Love the site and wouldlike to throw out my first question.

I just traded in a2007 4Runner for a new 2012 Tacoma 4X4 Dbl Cab. Love the truck and have a question about MPG. The new Tacoma weigh about 300 lbs less thanmy old 4Runner has the same 4.0 V6 engine, 5 speed transmission, 17” tires and3.75 rear end.

Why then did I get much better MPG with the 4Runner 26-27 onthe hwy and 24 in town? With the Tacomajust a hair above 20 on hwy and 19.
