Anyone seen a 4 piston caliper swap on a 5 lug?

    Fat bob lift, 15x8 us wheel, 32x11.5 BFG AT's, black box mod, black headlight mod, satoshi grill, fog light install. Waiting for new 4.10 gear and pinion, OBX headers, flowmaster 70 muffer
    i was just wondering if anyone has heard or tried doing a 4 piston caliper swap somehow on the 5 lug

    no. if you want bigger brakes, just go with the TRD Big Brake Kit. you will need at least 18" wheels to clear the calipers.

    Does an XRunner have 4 pot calipers? I would think that they would bolt right up, rotors and all.

    they have the same brakes as stock 5 Lugs. single pot.

    the BBK is a 4 pot i believe. it is not standard but you can get it installed at the dealership w/ warranty; not too sure if you don't have a XR though.

    thanks for the info...i just noticed a large difference in stopping power after throwing the 32's on. expected though

    yeah. especially since these brakes are pretty inadequate. even for my truck which is considerably lighter than an X.



    honestly id replace your pads an maybe step up to a better rotor. you'll see better stopping power and no major modifications or anything...that's pretty much the only option unless you spend the money for a BBK.
