Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
Not to be off topic, but did any one see this. I feel really bad for all parties involved. Sad situation to be put in. IMO wtf is wrong with people. What happened to letting a dog "get to know you" first? Probably just met him and sticks her face in his. You wouldn't grope someone you just met? I hope for the best, to all parties involved, in this situation.

i was taught as kid not to put my hands or face near a dogs mouth that i didnt know...especially if you know its a rescue, i let them come check me out first. I hate when people come up to Hank and just get all up in his face, he is a rescue, i wasnt sure how he would act with that, so i would have to ask people not to do that, then they look at me funny and walk away. Or they ask to pet him and go straight for the head, without letting him smell them or petting his back...it bothers me.

exactly!! you put your hand down for him/her to sniff and you NEVER go over their head.

When kids walk up to my dogs, I always tell them to put their hand out to let the girls sniff first.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
One of the comments, of the many hundreds I read, brought up the point how people don't listen. She could have been told not to, but he was "soo cute" so she had to. Our trainer said one time, "the people who love our dogs, are the worst for them" Very true. I really hope everyone makes it out ok, including a dog who just defended himself.

I love how "Animal Control" wrote the guy after his dog was rescued (for being off-leash in the video). Sounds like it would have been better for all concerned if the owner had never agreed to the interview (even though (up to the bite) it's a good story).

Not a huge fan of Animal Control.

    X2

You've got to figure the dog was probalby spazzing out or very close to it just by being in a strange place with LOTS of strange people and things going on. He might not have done that if he had been in his own home or in familiar territory, but where he was when he did it :notsure:
