Hello everyone. New poster here looking for some Tacoma clutch advice.

I am the first/only owner/operator of a 1997 3.4V6 4WD Tacoma about to turn 180k on the odometer. The clutch is still the original clutch and even though it's not slipping yet or anything, I just wanted to know what to expect out of this thing. Is it likely to slowly degrade over time like I would expect or is there any reason to believe that these clutches can end their useful lives in catastrophe? Thanks!!

i had to put a new clutch in my 97 after owning it for a year and a half though haha.

It's probably getting close to worn out, but I've never heard of one exploding. Probably will just start to slip and you'll know it's time.
