Bfgoodrich rugged terrain???

Anybody running these?

 

They are commonly referred to rugged fails. I don't run them nor have I ever. Some people like them and others don't. It is kinda hit or miss it seems.

 

guy i work with has them, loves them. Not to loud, but aggressive enough.

 

i sell those at work..not a fan of them

 

negative. Rugged Terrains are replacing the rugged trails

Why?

I have them. They seem pretty good so far. Love them in the rain. No noise, and not too aggressive. Ride feels solid.

Covered many times over. Reviews and picture out there of the terrains.

Just covered this earlier this week.

They are a highway tread classed tire meant to look tough, gets good reviews for what they are designed for.

They are not replacing the rugged trails which are a all terrain tire.

 

There's a difference between the Terrains and Trails.... I heard the Terrains are nice.

 

we have them on a work truck(07 chevy 1500 2wd)now.they seem like a decent tire.driven them in the snow,slush,rain and do fine.they do look sorta like the dynapros tread.

 

I get a lot of mixed reviews on them from our customers. I know they are good tires though. What most people don't know is that Michelin does testing for bfg,so they have to be a good tire. I guess for me, I'm not sold on the tred pattern is all. But I've never had a set of them myself so I can't really judge too much.

 

How do they explain the Rugged Trail?

I just bought KM2's in a 255 for my truck. The tire guy wanted me to take a look at the Rugged Terrains as well. He actually showed them to me mounted on another Tacoma. He explained that these are a highway tire and that they would do "OK" on a fire road. Decent looking tire for a highway tire though.

Just thinking ahead on what tires I'll replace my rugged trails with. Do mostly highway driving. My brother inlaw just got a set on his f150. Just wanted to know how good they are. I think he was pressured in to buying them.

 

BFG doesn't actually manufacture any tires, they are all made by Michelin.

Most people would say that they are quiet for highway but when they did offroad it didn't perform so well..some said they aren't aggressive enough.so basically some people weren't as sold as others..everyone has different needs and therefore it really just come down to preference.

 

I have them on my truck haven't had an issue yet they do good in light mud and haven't had an issue crawling up dry and wet rocks and no road noise. Can't wait to see how the do in the snow

 

I have had rugged terrains on my last 2 4x4 tacomas. The tires have held up great for me. They have handled extremely well on wet and dry pavement. Off road they hold up just fine, no they are not extreme mudding or rock crawling tires (thats not their intent), but for back woods camping and fun off pavement adventures while not killing you noise or gas mileage wise on the road they are perfect!
