Checklist....

Due to my sweet tax return this year and the extra 600 for qualifying for last years stimulus package I've decided to go ahead with the lift and tires...

just wanted to double check to make sure I have everything I'll need lined up so I can buy it all as soon as the return gets deposited. Here is what I got...

Toytec's 3" lift w/ heavy duty OME coils and rear AAL kit

Camburg UCA's

Front OME N91S Shocks

Rear OME N85 Shocks

(Most likely...) BFG AT 285/75/R16

Maybe some spacers... I know a lot of people go for the spydertrax ones but is there a huge differince in quality with different brands? should i stay away from ones made from a certain material?

The rear lift sounds great. AAL and OME shocks will do the trick nicely.

For the front.... You want the 2.5" lift 882 OME coils and a 3" toytec spacer?

 

Sounds about right, I have the spidertrax spacers and they are great. The only thing I could think of adding is if your truck has the famous "Taco Lean" then the the 5mm trim packer for the drivers side coil/shock assembly.

Sounds good! But I do believe you want to go with the 882 coil setup. With the top plate spacer, it will give you the 3" lift. The heavy duty coils might be too much lift for ya. Oh! and If your 4x4, dont forget the diff drop kit.

 

shouldn't i get the heavy coils if i want a heavy duty bumper later?? will the front be higher if i get the heavy coils now with no bumper?

 

If you are getting a big bumper then you should consider the heavy duty being a double cab. It shouldn't be higher, just more stiff.

 

yeah... it may not be till the next tax return that i get my bumper but i definately am at some point


and where do i get the 5mm trim packer to correct the "lean"

 

Toytec has them, at least they do for the 2nd gen tacos
