or you know they could pry off the hasps or cut the locks... probably quicker

True. Bolt cutters aren't great on the locks I've had to get off, but the can shim trick looks pretty quick if you know what you're doing. And if they locked them back up you wouldn't know they took anything. So if you didn't check for days or weeks, you'd never know when or where it happened, or have any idea who did it. Anyway, seeing videos of that has made me think twice about relying on padlocks.

 

Taking the center console out is super easy to so. Two ten mm bolts and four Phillips head screws. After that it just pops out in pieces. I uses a dremmel with a cutoff wheel.

 

Fair enough. Not much else I could do though, short of welding on some aluminum cups to surround the top of the locks, haha.

 

I did this still debating if i want to do it a darker I'll wait for daylight to decide

just be glad you don't have to look at it everyday then. it will be replaced when i go with an aftermarket DDHU.

That's a great idea about the snorkel- I'm sure shitheads walk by thinking about it all the time. + extra points for execution with the Nevada cutout.

What did you use to yellow them?

I put 3000K HIDs, the other ones were 6000K

 

So I was interested in these as well. Do you have any pics or how you like them so far?

 

Edited the original post to add the picture of it installed. So far I like them. Getting aligned tomorrow but so far It doesn't seem like it even needs it. I know it does though.
