    getting there....
    when i had my 06, on my 20k..........i did oil and filter change,changed the rear diff oil to synthetic, and rotated my tires. easy peasy.:)

    I was tempted to go to syn diff oil. Are you running syn. in your 04? If so how do you like it? Thanks Will.

    yeah man.................in my 04, i got synthetic in everything except for the transmission and power steering.:D

    with synthetic in the rear diff and transfer case and front diff............locking the rear and going into 4x4 are alot easier............alot smoother. and there is less drag with synthetic, so you may pick up a bit of mileage as well.

    Only do oil changes until 100,000. It's a Toyota.

    none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
    Not sure if I'd sweat the diff yet. There is very little friction in there since there are only three moving parts. I didn't change mine until last year, and its a 13 year old truck with 215,000. The old oil still looked brand-new. But... it's super easy to do and doesn't take a lot of time. So go for it if you want to. Like everyone else said: oil and air filter change and you're good to go.

    I was hoping somone would have a great idea somthing different, I was gonna use the 20k as a good excuse to try it. Thanks guys. Just have the Trans and diffs to convert to synthetic.

    getting there....
    i went with mobil1 75w90. took right over 3 quarts, and i used one of those small bottle/hand pumps.................made it quick and easy.:)
