My only idea at this point is to unbolt the 3 bolts on top of the strut. Then use a large screwdriver/pry bar/stock tire tools etc and pry down on the lca untill you get it. Keep wiggling and shifting things around...not much else you can do, unless something is very off, because this shouldnt be a problem.

If you still cant get it, there is another option that's going to require you to remove the strut, rebolt the ball joint on the lca, and then remove the sway bar and tie rod to get the strut in. Which is the way i do it anyway. Speaking of its just the way i did it today actually ha.

Damn bro'. ya couldn't shove'm back in huh, I see you took off the lower off the spindle after all, no worries, you have to line up the lower with the holes in bottom of spindle BUT !! you have to start the bolts with a little gap between the lower & spindle. If you try to mate the surfaces ,even if they are pretty much lined up I promise you will fight it all night too.

The fact that their a machined surface & super fine threads you need a little wiggle room to get them started, it sucks ya dont have an extra hand (or boot to stomp down on the LCA) Your in oceanside & I'm 45 miles away in Lakeside, I'll be checking on your progress & if ya can't get it we'll see what we can do tomorrow bro'... best i can tell you right now...;)

Yeah, from what it looks like, you would need some help. Pushing on the spindle with your feet wile pulling on the lca with a pry bar and having some one pine up the ball joint and thread in the bolts.

Too much crap doing it that way. I just disconnect the sway bar, then smack the tie rod a few times to get it to drop out. Then you have lots of room to work with.

Edit: I still think if you unhook the strut you could get it done. You have the strut in place, just unbolt it from the uca and lca to give you the room to move stuff around.

I cut some wires here. Added some wires there.
I saw a post where somebody used a ratchet strap wrapped around the uca to crank the whole thing together. If you use a pry bar read bj moose's write up first. It's a sticky.

Too late. How'd I miss your post?
