 have fun spending time with your son. I love spending time with mine. Watch out for the idiots on the roads.

Enjoy the peace and quiet  Be sure to clean the house the day before she gets home :)

Just got back from walking the girls... Have to measure and see how far it is. We just added another block and it seems to tire Ms Zoie a little.

    :woot: for liking the room.

 hope you get some snow.

    Rob

    morning Jim

Yes, it's snowing and blowing in Erie PA this morning, 21 degrees. Supposed to last all day. Only the second time this winter.
Three things I would like to spend money on for my Tacoma. Tonneau Cover, functional nerf/step bars (wife has knee problems, and they look great), Hitch mount canoe rack and front bed rack for canoe. If any of you had experience with this wish list, please comment.

Love these, Had step bars but did not like they were always in the way. My mom in law is 96 and she did not like the step bars but loves the N-Fab's.[IMG]

Hi everyone, I'm kind of new to this forum and am glad to have found the over 60 thread. I was getting a tad disappointed with the rest of it, mostly kids chatting about mods that make no sense to me. I'm no modder. I much prefer a very reliable truck that does what I need without changing the engineering of it and spending a bunch of money from my fixed income, heck, I need that for my Luby's dates to the early bird specials. ;) Seriously if it ain't broke I don't fix it. PM? Yes! Absolutely. Gotta keep ol' Yota in tip top shape, but to mod for the sake of showing off what you've done, mmmmm....I don't get it. Showing my age I suppose(60+). I do know a good value when I see one tho and the Tacoma is it. I'm currently driving a 2004 TRD SR5. The last year of the old style. I don't care much for the newer body style of 2005 and up and even less for the electronics in the 4x4 action. I prefer the old reliable standard 4x4 shift lever to get me in and out of fourwheel drive. Old school, but it goes in and out so smooth, what's not to like? The button push 4x4 of the later models is way to automated and prone to malfunctioning from what I've been reading.
This is my fourth toyota truck since 1974 and they do build a quality vehicle that lasts. So it's a no brainer to stick with a winner.
I recently moved from Phoenix to Bend Oregon and love the piece of mind having the 4x4 option for the winter roads here. I had to drive many miles to even need the 4x4 option before, now it's sometimes right outside my door.
Nuff for now, just wanted to say hello. :)

Welcome Jim. Basically, what your saying Jim goes same for all of us. Could'a bought a Colorado, could'a bought a Frontier, but Toyota's been good to me.

All of our boy toys are money pits brother. Hell, I've got a boat too! Talk about money pit! The Tacoma is going to tow the boat, which has to have the outdrive fixed first.
