took me entirely to long to get this painted and trimmed, but I did it! Moar pics later when I get new wheels and tires. Pretty sure this body was meant for a slash and only "kinda" for the SC10. I did as much as I could do take care of the bro lean, but it's whatevz

That stuff looks good, but rumor is there kinda fragile, even for a full blown racer.

Slash and SC10 bodies are interchangeable. Only thing different are the post holes. It does look like you could use a lil' trim on the rear fender, or do the wheels tuck underneath?

    correction

Too much work. I already have a truck, quad, mower and chainsaw to maintain. When it comes to r/c, I just wanna plug ...wait..... wait.......wait........ is it done charging? no? wait wait wait..... n' play!

    j/k :D

From what I listed, what takes longer is the cleaning, which is the same with electric, you still have bearings and diffs which need checking every once in a while...

Everything else is a matter of 10-15mins

Can't wait to see this running

Yeah apparently fits in any 1/8th scale, power close to a .28 nitro engine and price +-$250. A savage like that would make an awesome bashing truck.

I've been thinking about going with an electric short course, but will wait to see what happens with this and I'm also waiting to see if at the local tracks they start running the 1/8ths like the Apache C1 ..... all this while I argue with myself, that I should look away and not start spending $ in R/C again

I would like to get Durango's 2wd SC truck when it comes out
Durango makes their stuff mainly for racing and not for bashing, so the plastic is a little stiffer than most

The main thing with this was the front part of the body (the grille?) comes down too far for the SC10. I had to cut a lot of it off to get it to set down where it is now. And the longer length of the body doesn't allow the rear tires to sit in the exact center of the rear fenders so they actually stick out just a tad. I don't think I'm gonna have any huge rubbing issues, though. I had to cut out the whole back "bumper" part of the body to get it to fit.

My parents got me that body for christmas and didn't really know exactly what to get. I think that body was an older more slash-specific one. I got to looking and the way that body was made, it'll drop right down on a slash perfect. The sc10.. not so much.

The factory body fits it a whole lot better, and honestly I like the AE bodies better. Probably gonna get a flo-tek after I trash this body and see how that goes.

Is it a bad thing if I let the rustler sit with some fuel in it for under 24 hours?

What do you guys usually do post-run maintenance with your Nitro?

I don't do anything other than empty out unused fuel in the tank. Maybe that's why it gives me problems. :anonymous:

A friend of mine has some kind of after-run spray/oil stuff for it. Takes out the glow plug, sprays it in. Pumps it with the EZ start a little bit, or something like that. I guess i'm really not a good person to take advice from when it comes to maintenance of nitro r/c's

As long as you don't store it in the cold and it gets run somewhat often you'll be fine. The fuel these things run on is a pretty good cleaning agent anyway. I'd google something though, anyway.

I thought I'd post a few older bodies that I airbrushed. If you like, I've got a butt load more. This one was actually in two magazines, RC Car Action, and RC Car. What you guys think?
