What is this timing cover leak? Also, I love this weather! Perfect weather to stay outside all say mounting the bumper I don't have.

 

timing chain cover seal goes bad and you get a slow oil leak. not enought to lower your oil leverl, but it's really annoying because the whole frontside of the motor is all nasty

 

I can fix that!!! I would be more than happy to fix that for anyone willing to pay me, or even warranty!

 

would that be under the 66k or whatever powertrain warranty even if the truck's more than 3 years old?

 

It would be cover under the 5 year 60k mile warranty. (powertrain warranty)

how do i set up a time with you!?!? i need to come out that way anyway to get the LCA skids from john.

 

You would need to drop it off for the day, actually drop it off the night before so it's niceely cooled down in the morning since you would be driving so far. If i can stay focused on it, i can usually do it in about 4 hours, but me and focus dont get to see eye to eye very often at work anymore. Got a young guy on my team the needs constant watching.

 

Hmm, timing is going to be tricky for this. Y'all are probably way too busy on weekends I presume?

 

yeah, weekends usually get pretty busy, but if thats when you need it done, thats when we will do it. You are the customer.

what kind of cool time do you need before you start work on it? i can't drop it off the night before since i lack a place to stay out that way, but i wouldn't mind getting there a couple hours before yall open and just letting it sit.

 

now that is some good customer service!

That would work, but also, being under warranty, i think toyota would cover a rental for you for the repairs. But i would have to check on that to be certain.
