Stupid questions please don't hate on me too much

Ok sorry for the dumb questions but :

1) if I get the add a leaf (four pack) tsb and throw 5100s on the front how much higher will it be from stock (2010 access trd off road)

2) how much performance drop will. I see going from 265/70/16 to 265/75/16?

1. If you get the 1.5" tsb aal, it will raise the back 1.5" over stock. As for the front, it depends on what setting you set the 5100s at.

 

What's a good setting for the front if I just want it to be level with the back with the tsb done

 

Without the tsb aal from toytec? 1.75"

 

The 5100's have a few settings. I believe the rear TSB and 5100's set at 1.75 will basically level the truck...

 

Yup

 

1.5" aal with rear tsb and front set to 1.75" will make the truck level. You will lose a tiny bit of pep going up to that size but nothing crazy.

 

5100's set on zero, eibach coils, toytec 1.5 add a leaf and Michelin MS2's.

Gave me exactly what I was looking for in stance and ride. Approx 2.5" lift.

No shakes, no shimmies, nothing but much improved handling and ride comfort.

Sweet what about gas mileage and ride quality. Some people tell me to stay stock but I'd like a little more rubber

 

I get around 17 or 18 in city, but I don't drive like an asshole and I do my best to keep rpms under 2k.

Ride quality is good, depends how heavy and what load range you get.

 

I don't understand how lifting the rear of the truck 2.5" inches and the front of the truck 1.75 will make it level, especially when it already has an inch of rake from the factory.

 

Beats me man. All I know is that's what it did to my truck and a bunch of others trucks. And you gotta realize all these lift numbers for aals and the 5100s are "average" numbers.

I realize the average thing, but that's beyond explanation with averaging. If a truck has rear rake from the factory, by definition you need to lift the front more than the back to level it. Do you have any pictures of the stance?

Oh wait you're right dude I spaced out. Without the 1.5 aal and just the rear tsb with 5100s at 1.75" will level you out.

I put my 1.5 aal on when I put on my 885s. Sorry for confusion and mix up, I've messed with my shit so much i lost track. Good call kpt.

 

Also with the way the front end is set up, adding a spacer or adjustable coilover generates almost twice the amount of lift as the thickness of the spacer or coil setting. I have no idea why but it does.

Also I have my icons set at 1.75 and their aal that is supposed to give 1.5 in of lift and I'm level.

 

Mine r at 1.75 front rear tsb. I also went with 265/75/16 tires. Pretty level rides nice.

 

Think about like a see saw. If you lift the fulcrum under it 1", the the high side of the see saw raises up by more than an inch. Similar concept applies to IFS suspensions
