    it's an iPhone app called GPS kit. I mapped the route out on Google Earth, then emailed it to myself. I opened the KMZ file with GPS Kit, and I can set waypoints, track my own trail, and it basically is a Lowrance on your iphone.

    that looks cool since it also ends up close to Big Bear. Plan is to start in Barstow and end up in Green Valley Lake, avoiding as much pavement as possible. You down to come with and lead us at sections you are familiar with.
