so my wife and i are on our way to MA. we have already driven 1100 miles and are staying outside of indianapolis. 2 more days of driving to go...

we are also towing a 5x8 uhaul trailer so the gas mileage really sucks. though kansas, we got 8.5 mpg @ 70mph. after i switched to 91+ octane, the gas mileage went up by 2-3 mpg. higher octane doesnt seem to matter on regular city driving, but towing on the highway, it really makes a difference. 2 more days to go....

I'll be up in Boston 3/2 - 3/4 for my buddies bachelor party...staying downtown at the Holiday Inn Beacon Hill.
Is there any "must do" things?

Check the Bruins schedule for a poss game. Plenty of pubs downtown to try in or near Quincy Market. Then there is always the history aspect of Boston. Which is well worth your time imho. Just checked there is a game Sat the 3rd at 1 then hit some pubs. Sun go to one of the steak houses intown then hit some more pubs. I see a pattern forming

Regular season Celts tickets have been cheaper then ever. $15 in the nose bleed sections and some beers and the game seems so much closer haha

ya, through kansas, we gassed about every 100 miles. we didnt want to get stuck out there. once we got out of kansas, we were getting 150-200 miles a tank. and the tank holds 21 gallons... so thats an extra 17 miles :D

ya, my wife and i are looking forward to meeting a new group of tacoma guys :)

Are you an auto or manual? If your an auto are you towing in 4th? If auto tow in D and only go down to 4th if you start hitting hills and the tranny starts hunting a lot. I towed a two place snowmobile trailer and another one in the bed of my truck for 5 hours each way and was getting over 10 mpg.

I know nothing about installing a lift and thought i could save some money and have you guys help. Johnnym said he had tools and could help and if i could get a few more guys then when could have it done in a day. Im going with the and eibach spring. Gonna have a 2.5 lift and then get aftermarket ucas done the road when i have the money. If you guys wanna help that would be great. Thanks.

You should probably add a "add a leaf" in the rear. 1.5" will level you out and a 2" will make the back sit a little higher kind of like stock. I am not much help but I'll give with some moral support, beverages, and any tasks you guys hand out to me :D. I'd love to help ya guys out

Take the springs and struts to a shop and have them put together. It is worth the 50 or so bucks it might cost. Spring compressors are not fun to deal with.
