    .
Stick the shock end in a vise and drill holes into the bushing untill the sleeve comes out

    Ok guys!

Updating for anyone who has this issue and stumbles upon this thread.

I got a call back from TJM, he said he called toytec and they said this is a common problem...

I just need to cut down the bushings.

Easy right? Heh only if I would have heard sooner! Well looks like I'm going to do it on sunday!

I am assuming I need to reuse my sleeve as thats the only way the bolt will fit snugly in the bushings.

So thats my adventure for sunday!

Least they didn't give me the wrong ones this time!

I talked to Wess with TJM and he was very nice, and apologetic that it took so long. But if I needed anything to call him back.

So it did take TJM awhile but I caught them at the worst possible time, and he did call me back and let me know what was up.

    So +1 to TJM

See? Allright, no big deal my friend, just grind those puppies down evenly on both sides, what you could do is put the sleeve inside the bushing, put the bushing inside the bench vise and use the sleeve to judge how much to grind, leave a little extra, you still want a pretty snug fit. Let us know how it goes.

Yes just got off the phone with TJM again feel bad for bugging him so much but he's been great!

He said it's probably molded in there, so he went to see if my shock was supposed to come with a sleeve inside but the part number I have doesn't match up.

So I gave demello a call to see if they can get me a different part number through TJM.

^ No answer left message waiting on return call

    Ugh this is a nightmare!!!

I knew I should of went with toytec or something LOL

I would put the shock into the vice on the shock mount and drill out the rubber until the bushing comes out and then pry the rubber off of the sleeve

Ok well finally got to it.

    Tried drilling, no go.

So I got a angle grinder, and cut two different sections of it and it popped right out!

Cut the old bushing pieces off the sleeve and DONE!

Cut down new bushings, test fit, no go have to cut down some more but not tonight thats tomorrow.

    Thanks again everyone!

I've never had the bushings/sleeves on replacement shocks fit without some sort of modification. Usually it's only a slight difference and an angle grinder with a flap disk shaves it down enough.
