Purty. Did you guys strip off the chrome coating first or just sand it down? I want to get rid of the chrome look as well. But going to go satin black to match the bumper.

Hell if I had the funds and the time the entire truck would be flat black with a flat clear coat. My very own rad rod truck. :D

We sanded them down (Brian's is the black one-was also chrome) taped it off, sprayed adhesive, and a couple coats of primer.

It's actually not that bad really. Just put them in the oven (300*) for 10mins each, pull apart, remove factory glue, sand them down, spray adhesive and paint. Then put back-together, add black silicone and your good to go.

Want to do a retro fit and this at the same time. Just a bit nervous and the downtime could be an issue for me. Oh and did I mention HID's at the same time. :D

NYCO you still got them old headlights?

Color matched paint was $55. It's worth it.

Yup. Adhesive spray so the paint sticks better.

Alright is this spraying of adhesive before priming because of the chrome? Does it help the paint stick? I have never heard of this process before.

God damn. One bottle of wine and I type slower then even Sean.
