So about 3 weeks ago I purchased a set of 01-04 power door mirrors for my truck..The guy sent me an email confirming payment and he would ship them out next day via USPS. We have kept in decent contact, and he still says that he shipped them out. Hes in Aurora CO, and im in NJ. It shouldnt take 3 weeks to ship them out..Hell the mail moves 24/7. I sent him an email stating that Ive been very patient and that id like him to refund at least 1/2 my payment as good faith untill they arrive in perfect shape on my door step. I also noted that its been about 3 weeks since he "shipped" them out. I could probably drive out there faster:rolleyes: Ive probably had 1-2 emails back and forth per week and he has assured me that hes even gone to the post office to ask whats up. What do you think? I have all paypal "stubs" and such for this transaction.

Depends on the USPS shipping he used. They have that 3 day express thats cheap and they also have the options to put a tracking and or delivery confirmation as well. As far as how fast it would get there on just plain USPS delivery thats can be debated. We just got a christmas card about 3 weeks ago that was mailed from Washington State to Texas the first week of December. Hopefully the seller has a way to track or had insurance on the package to cover the cost of the items if lost. Keep us posted.

File a complaint with PayPal to light a fire under this guy's ass. If nothing happens with that then escalate the complaint.

That would be great, but I doubt he even mailed it. His excuse would probably be "Oh, I think I threw it away, sorry."

Priority and express should get there inside a week but if it were standard USPS then yeah it can and has taken longer. I shipped a guy a text book back in college; my first time selling and shipping something. I shipped it standard USPS which took 8 weeks to arrive…. The dam class was half way over by the time the guy got his book.

File a claim and let him know ahead of time you’re doing it just as precaution and that you’ll cancel the claim as soon as it arrives. I had some shit had file a claim on my because I took longer then 12 freaking hours to ship and send him tracking after he paid… Paypal held my money for weeks… that p’ed me off so now I’m very carful about who I sell to and to make sure all details are out in the open before any payment is received.

He should refund you immediately regardless of how long it takes to get his insurance money. I wouldnt let it drag out to long.

I agree the insurance money has to do with an agreement between him and the USPS. Your money has to do with an agreement between him and you which he has not met his requirements.

I've had it be hit and miss sometimes with the Post Office. Using the same mail type, I've had packages take nearly 3 weeks and other packages shipped to the same area take 1 week (shipped only one week apart from each other). I'd follow the tracking numbers and it looked like it would sit at one place for quite a while and then start moving again. This is especially true for Parcel Post or Media Mail. If he sent them Priority Mail, it should have arrived in a couple of business days.

The fact that he's still talking to you seems to say that he's somewhat legit. I'd give it a little more time. How is his eBay rating?

3 weeks is way too long to send and receive a package that is going across the country. Hopefully he comes through by sending you the merchandise or refunding you 100% what you paid him.

well i got an email from him, and i went to the usps website...heres the email.

    Joe:
This is the tracking number for the delivery confirmation: 0308xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
If you go to the USPS web site and enter in this number you will see that it says it was accepted at the PO I mailed it from. I sent this info before. The insurance cannot be tracked on line you have to go to the PO for it. The number is 1307xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
I went to the post office today that I mailed the package from. The woman said that on her computer it show up at the general mail facility in new jersey I think the zip ended with 07 early this morning around 2:30 am. It is a general mail facility like the one I mailed it from. They are the big regional post offices that sort mail for a huge area. I ahve no idea where the package has been all this time. I am assuming that this means you should get it tomorrow or in a few days.
I am sorry this is happening. I have nothing to do with it. Since it is still in route they will not let me do the insurance claim.
Hang in there is all I can suggest. It is very strange.
Please do let me know if they are damaged in any way when you get them and I will make sure you will get your 82 back and sorry this has all been such a pain.

    ebay rating was good
