Sorry guys there will not be a 2012 option. I would have to design a new board, and it would only light the arrow. The return on investment is just not there, it would be a loosing proposition for me. Sorry for the long wait on this answer, but i have been trying to figure an easy way to make it happen.
    But no go.

i still think if you had a single LED bulb on the end of a 24" pigtail you could just feed it through the switch (as in dont remove the switch, just pull the knob off and run the wires "through" the holes in the switch) and like silicone it to the inside of the knob and have the arrow light up. I just need to get ahold of an LED thats wired and I'll do it. OP do you sell such a thing?

That only works for one position, when you turn the switch, it won't be lit at the 4H and 4L. You need three leds, one for each position.

I'll have to mock something up so you can see. The led would be glued directly under behind the arrow and the wires would have enough slack to allow it to rotate, so if you pulled the knob off it would dangle an inch or two with the slack. It's just an idea and haven't seen if there is enough room to clear the wires when you rotate it. I'll get something together this week if I can.

The way I see it there is no way possible with the stock switch to light the dial as it is not translucent just painted on black plastic.
The knob has potential for lighting but only the knob.
I haven't had the chance to remove my switch yet as I work on it outside and I just heven't taken the time.
I fully intend to bastardize something to try and have lighted dial and knob and realize that I might fail but I'm gonna try anyway.
Damn luck, shoulda bought a 2011

Yeah I wish there was more i could do here, but there is no real $$ to make. I would have to charge like $500 for the thing, because it would be an all new front bezel, fabricating finished plastics is really spendy. And there is very limited interest maybe 25 people in all. Not worth my time and money, good luck with your en-devour Merle.
    Sorry 2012 guys.

I have a 2008 and got your kit installed so my question is just out of curiosity. If someone wanted to spend the $$ could they buy a B 4 2012 switch and a kit and be good 2 go ?

Nope, unfortunately, they changed the entire switch.
    Mounting and everything is different.

The reason Toyota does not light the switch in the Tacoma, is because the switch is behind the steering wheel.
They figured since it is obscured from the drivers view by the steering wheel, they would scrap the light and save then selves some money.

Oh well, thanks for the answer. I like having it illuminated even if it it behind the steering wheel. I don't use it often but when I do - OOPS there it is. Don't have to turn on interior lights to find it.

That sucks for the 2012+ guys. It looks way better with the switch actually lit. And on a side note, Shannon makes a fantastic product for 2005-2011 guys. Thanks for the taking the time and effort to help us out Shannon.

I see a light at the end of the tunnel for the 2012 guys, but not completly there yet.
i will post my findings in a new thread as I have no intentions of hijacking this one.
This ( Shannons) is a quality product for the 2005-11 guys at an excellent price.
