I think so... All I know is I get off at the Crozet exit to get there. I usually hit it up when I'm returning from a hike or camping trip.

Blue Mountain is ok... Devil's Backbone is ok too. Their customer service is crap but the beers CAN be ok. I'm a little subjective though after spending a couple years in Europe... Look up "Brew Ridge trail" there are quite a few breweries and distillers pretty close to each other that can make for a nice day ending in a DUI or three.

 on the Brew Ridge Trail... Blue Mountain is hit or miss on the service, I've been to Devil's Backbone though and definitely experienced less than par service, good food and atmosphere though. The only place we have in Richmond that compares is Legend's Brewery.

Richmond is awesome for beer, not so much for breweries but tons of good restaurants and bars. Capital Ale (any of them but mainly Innsbrook) is freakin AWESOME.

Capital Ale is good for a night out with your buds... I like Legend's when I'm in the mood for a place that's toned down a bit.... I have yet to find a place with a more extensive beer menu than Capital Ale, they now have like 3 or 4 locations too.

Delirium Cafe... its a bit of a hike to Brussels from Richmond though I guess, but the ~2500 brew beer list would make it a worth while trip.

Nice !!! Germany is on my lifelong places to visit list. When you get back home, remember The Bier Garden, it's in Portsmouth, owned by a German family. Extensive beer menu, not quite like that of Capital Ale but definitely respectable. Where they shine is daught beer though, the most imported beer on tap that I've seen. Excellent authentic food as well (not that I'd know but others say).

Off on my 108 mile commute home... Later on folks

My plan is to open up a nice beer lover's bar in the central VA area when I get out and get back, something the Europeans would even be proud of. Shooting to have somewhere up and running with 750+ beers on hand with the next 6 years. Should be fun to see if I can get there or not.

Nice man. You going to offer it in a bar like Capital Ale house or just for sale in cases like an abc store?

I could probably work there part-time as a consultant/liaison for any fire issues or hazards that need professional attention.
