I agree on that, It does look like a big rat! But she is a ball of joy, and humor falling off beds.

Where I was rd 3N11 and that cuts off of 2N63 (Italian Bar Rd) and Italian Bar Rd goes all the way up to Twain Harte. Which is just down the hill from Pinecrest.

There is a OHV area where I was but it is closed to 4x4's in the winter, but open to motorcycles and quads.

Do you go up to Pinecrest much?

I heard about Italian Bar Rd. from a ranger at the station there near Confidence. How would it be for a stock 4x4 Tundra? Also, I am keen to start finding more trials that have some fun river crossings or good campsites at lakes...etc. Any good suggestions that are stock 4x4 accessible?

Italian Bar would be no problem. The off shoots from Italian bar can be washed out and a bit more challenging. Also be careful of the locals

Most everything was snowed in the last time I was up so I have more exploring to do.

ok so i pinstriped the tundra this weekend =) but I didn't bother with Italian Bar. The ranger station in Mi-Wuk was closed so i went to Pionecrest and there a local and the ranger said that Italian Bar itself isn't all that rough and that the "locals" grow and cook stuff out there and that makes them hostile towards visitors...so we chose a safe place to play. The Ranger directed us to Fraser Flat Rd. and from there we got lost on govt. land. Definitely good fun. Although i have to admit that it's lame when foks cannot randomly explore and enjoy weekends off road due to idiot locals...
