Did the R&R throttle body and IAC cleaning this weekend, and cleaned the MAF. I see now whay they recommend taking it off for cleaning. If you don't all the cleaner and the goo drains into the IAC and sits there with nowhere to go. Cleaner evaporates, but now all the sooty partculates are in the IAC.

A quick disconnect setup would be nice..but i think ill end up just bolting it to the bed rails and maybe running some tubing from the rail to the actual bed for support. The only good quick disconnect stuff out there is for tubing and ill be making this all out of 1.5'' square tubing and 1'' square tubing. Not that undoing 8 bolts is really that big of a deal anyways..so that what will happen most likely.

Inventor is free (if you're a student), and just as good as solidworks for most things, and better for some like modeling gears and shafts for example.

Nice! And I couldn't get a couple hoses of the TB when I cleaned mine so I just left it attached and used a piece of tape to cover up the IAC. It worked for the most part.... :notsure: definately better to take it off if you can though.

    Too many to list.

Mine does too occasionally when you start it up, only last for a second or two, then goes away... any ideas?

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Sketch up is a great program I have Pro and I design a lot of my stuff with it. For fab work its great not so much for precision machining but for fabracation its great.

Mine has squealed since I got it. When the belt actually gets warm, the squealing goes away. I think I just need a new belt. A lot of people just put some dawn dish detergent on it and that fixes it. But, if you've had the belt on there for a while, or you have ever changed it. I would recommend a new one.

    edit: alternator belt, that is.
