+1 to whoever guesses correctly as to what Jonny is doing. And Jonny, you are excluded from this little competition.

got a question for you guys with FJ’s and bigger tires.

my friend has a ’11 trail team. and was thinking about lifting and bigger tires when his warranty expires. but one day i noticed that their is not much room as far has bigger tire in stock location.

so what is the biggest you can go? he said he found a adapter(idk wear) that bolts to wear stock tire dose and moves the a bigger tire up higher.

so does he want to lift or not? there is nothing that moves the tire "up", there are wheel spacers that move the tire out tho

he may next year. and it moves the spare tire up. not the wheels that are moving. i know their nothing to moves them up.

edit: talking about spare. their is not much room from what tire is stock to the bumper. for a bigger tire.

2011 doesnt have a spare riser as of now, least i havent seen one, i just used a regular wheel spacer to push it out. plus a 285 will fit on the spare with no rub at all.

Can't you just flip the spare tire mount to allow for a bigger tire? I think i saw someone do this on the blue room. I'm talking like 35"+, I know the 285's will fit.

My cousin put a 305/75/17 on his and it barely fit.

285/75/16 barely fit with my other buddies metal tech rear bumper.

So i think it depends on a few different factors. 285/75/16 will fit just fine with stock rear bumper.
