You really have to shop around to get a good price on these tires. I paid $640 OTD for mine with a $40 off coupon.

Dont know what to tell ya...on sale at my local Goodyear shop. Needless to say I was astonished to see the quotes others were getting. Best part was, I sold my stock BFGs the next morning for $300, so the duratracs only cost me just under $350.

I have about 16K on mine and from the crude measurement I did when I got them rotated last time I would say they are about half gone. (used a quarter to measure the tread)
BUT, I must tell you I drive aggressively (so I've been told) AND I do a lot of highway miles (20,000+ a year)
As far as perfomance, they are the best tire I have had on anything.
If I can get 40K out of them I will be happy.
And if I get that I will have no problem buying another set.
If however they are worn out at 30K I would probably get another set of wheels and get something a little harder compound for the daily commute and then get another set of duratracs just for winter or when I go off road.

The salesmen at the store said they have been seeing people get 40K out of them.
I guess I will see in a year or so if that is true.

Do you rotate the tires every 5000 miles?

I just rotated mine for the second time. After 10,000 miles they look to be holding up well. I can see getting 40,000 out of these. BTW I have a semi aggressive driving style. You should keep these rotated though because the compound is soft and the lugs will start to wear uneven.

Try Goodyear Silent Armor Pro. 9/10 in the snow. 50k on my Excursion and still have 10/32 left. I did buy a set of Dura Tracs for the winter and had them studded so that I can run the others down over the summer. I like trying new tires and got my 265/75/16E form a Ford dealer that matched Goodyears price. Paid $145. I will follow up later

Best thing to do with these tires is rotate every 5k and have a second set for running the summer months. If you want a good to great all weather tire Good Year Silent Armour Pros are it. Have 65k and still lots os tread. 10 ply 265/75/16. Watch the ford dealers. They will match any price even internet. Call Sears get their best price Then go to Ford and Back to Sears Ford will bet Sears price. They had $100 off 4 tires at the Ford dealer

If you are on the road a lot these are a quiet tire. For the money and snow traction Silent armour Pros are the best

40K seems like the average treadlife..... good to know. I think you guys sold me on a set. Any body have any pics of them on a TRD Off Road wheel by any chance?

They're also far less of an aggressive tire for someone who's looking for a more aggressive looking tire.

I've got 20k miles on mine so far.
