Sagging from skid plates weight?

So I have been thinking about something lately and never found any threads on this. It may sound stupid but I was wondering if the weight of a Skid or Skids have caused sagging for anyone. I have an All Pro bumper w/o a winch and will be getting an ATO ifs skid in the future. Should that 70lbs have any effect on the front end due to its location? Let's use 885 coils as an example because I want to swap my eibachs out for 885s. Thanks

 

I have pretty much the exact same question. I was planning on getting a budbuilt front skid plate and brute force bumper as well. I was curious if 885's would work or if 886's would be the better choice. (Sorry if this is threadjacking, didn't want my own thread for the same question!)

 

Yes that weight will make the front end sag on a stock tacoma. Your best bet is to call DSM, Wheelers, etc, and see what they would recommend.

Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters is very knowledgable when it comes to stuff like this also.

If you look here, it seems to me the 886's would work best for your application.

 

I'm glad I'm not the only one... I just wonder if it really makes a difference. The ATO skids are about 70#s though...

 

Get the 886's. You won't regret it. Specially with that much weight up front.
