    is it "real" hdr or "fake" hdr. If i had my guess i would say fake.

    yeah, thats what i thought. It didn't have the depth that a true hdr with multiple Ev's involved.

    i could tell right away because the sky is overexposed in the final... true hdr = nothing over/under exposded

    Yah...an HDR photo combines a range of exposures.

    Here's one I tried not too long ago...nothing interesting but it shows the lack of over/under exposure

    You gotta change the timing for the exposures and contrast to get the best possible but I hope mine come out good once I get to actually taking them. :p

    Did you do it from a JPG or a RAW file? RAW files, while not easier to work with, have more dynamic range already in them. You should turn down your black point, the contrast is wayyy too high.


    btw, my sig is an overblown HDR, I don't usually do it, but for some reason people like it in automotive stuff.

    To the OP, the sky is really blown out, you should try taking a shot several f stops lower. Still good for a first try though!
