i would go for the craftsman professional, or the campbell on the right with the high CFM. If you want the higher PSI go for the craftsman, of the higher CFM go for the campbell.

i don't think you can wire the one campbell for 240, it will likely fry it. The other one is 240v only

I would get a vertical first thing. Second, I perfer oilless, becuase I can lie it down and dont have to worry about fluids. I have the dewalt 15 gal. http://www.dewalt.com/tools/compressors-wheeled-portable---electric-d55168.aspx
Its a bit loud but dosent bother me. Very silmilar to the craftsman. Is the Campbell oilless. If so id get that one. If not, id look at the craftsman.

Depends what your using it for. Are you taking it to job sites or just using it in your garage. If its just a garage compressor, oil might be fine. What are you looking to run off it?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
240v is easy to install, but you will need to see if you have two open spots in your panel (need to be side by side). You will need minimum 12 gauge 3 plus ground wire, 20A two pole breaker, and the outlet/box/cover.

(I'd just go with the horizontal Crafstman but the vertical CH has killer CFMs))

my question was how much work to wire for the 240v one, which is the one with the best cfm by almost twice... which i think for air tools is very important. Dont need air pressure much over 90psi

are you asking about wireing the compressor for 240 or the wall outlet?

and yes, the CFM would be the most important for air tools.

i'm not sure if you are looking at the same link i am, but the vertical CH has crap CFM and the horizontal ( 3 HP ) is the one with the killer CFM.

That would be my choice, but then you will have to spend extra money for tools.

    pulling a 3 conductor #12 wouldn't be a bad idea, but a 2 conductor #12 is all you need.

Yes CFM is the important number with air tools.
    Yes, meant horizontal. :frusty:
