I am looking at the tacoma listed in the title. Have ya'll heard of any problems out of these motors? i'm assuming not because these motors are awesome themselves. timing belt is in the process of being changed, as well as the water pump... please let me know something by thursday this week. 2/16

why should i stay away from it? this truck looks amazing for 25 years old. It looks like it was well taken care of also. I am using it as a work truck and weekend play toy. It's not a daily driver so I don't have to worry about that. I have a Honda Accord for that!!!:D
ill post a pic of it tonight.

Thanks Thatguy18. You probably saved me a nice investment then. The guy was only asking 1650 for it and he said the motor was recently rebuilt. Idk. I might look into it further, or I might not. What would a swap from the 3.0-3.4 cost? What all would I need to replace? Computer, trans, transfer case?

the fact that it had to be rebuilt at only 160k should tell you something lol.

Well he said it was rebuilt, but I don't believe him one bit until I can see paperwork or it show signs of being rebuilt.

Yeah good call, I still wouldn't go for it though. Wait it out for a clean 4cyl truck.

ok so i have another question. If i bought it and did a swap to a 3.4. What would have to be changed? Trans, transfer case, ecu, wiring, motor mounts? I want to swap to a 5spd if i did the motor swap.

Why do you say it isn't a tacoma? It has the Tacoma badge on the tailgate? If it isn't a Tacoma, then is it the T-100?
