For me I really noticed a difference when doing thing like lifting an item with another person. My buddy is a large guy and was really stressing when lifting a a wall locker I just looked at him and was like WTF. Another time this idiot dropped his side of a 135lb case. I was able to swing it around and carry it without hurting myself or anybody around me. I also have my kids doing crossfit kids. Not at my gym but at home. I'am amazed at how many handstand pushups my 8yr old can do. I love the life style and the challenge CF puts on me. I also love the people at the gym. They reall motivate me to become a better person. Those skinny guys may edge me out on alot of the cardio but I get them back on the powerlifting.

As skinny and tall as I am, I tend to err more on the side of powerlifting as well... I can't do a ton of cardio before I am completely burned up, but I'll be damned if I can't outlift most people there already.

I read the first page of the article then stopped. Did it turn in to crossfit bashing?

I had signed up for a Tough Mudder and a Dirty Dash for this summer... Too bad I have to get surgery in May which will throw a wrench into everything.

I so want to do the crossfit thing. Heck not only did I read and mostly agreed with the good parts of the yahoo thing, but dang $125 per month to go 4 times a week is FRECKING expensive.

To supplement my running and my calisthenics, as soon as I get my tax refund money I'll be getting this: www.trxtraining.com

I might... they are very similar, but I feel like imma have a tough time not eating certain things I enjoy from time to time. Paleo is quite the commitment. I've already eliminated almost all junk food, the grains are my downfall right now.

Just take it slowly. I'm not 100% Paleo but I did eliminate all dairy and junk food. Grains I have every once in a while. No beer which sucks and I try to buy all organic and natural products. I do take my cheat day seriously!
