Traction problem

Does anyone else have a problem with traction in there tacoma? it seems like i have to baby my truck because if i dont it spins so easy.... i didnt really have this problem before i got the supercharger installed. But i cant even hardly pull out anywhere because it spins so bad....its almost a pain in the rain, and i find myself not driving it as much when it rains because of this. but its almost just as bad when it is dry out. is there some way that i can fix this???

 

so you are saying you have a supercharger for sale? j/k. i would recommend adding some weight in the bed of the truck forward of the rear axle. or regearing may help

 

i had a 95.5 V6 regular cab truck without the S/C and i had the same issue. I usually rode around with either an old spare full of water or something to weigh it down a little bit becasue these trucks are so light in the rear. Just find something of about 150 lbs to put in the back and it will hook up.

 

haha well i kinda hate cruising around with weight in my bed all the time but if thats what it boils down to i guess i will...it almost gets me in trouble cause ill be pulling out and clearly i have plenty of room but the it starts to spin and i about get hit.

 

yeah what they said. its just so light that it doesnt grab the road. maybe mroe aggresive tires?

 

i thought about that but didnt know for sure. i have a couple bags of sackcrete they we 80 lbs a peice i may just throw them in there

 

I think you lost some torque when you installed the supercharger - why the tires are breaking loose.

That's my guess....

I had a similar issue with a Dodge Ram & towing. I installed a CAI and the wheels wouldn't grab (same load, same scenario). I took the CAI off and got my torque back.
