Just received my wheels yesterday and noticed +18mm offset on the boxes. It was supposed to -12mm offset from this online middleman. On the car application guide it gave 2 17x9" Helomaxx wheels, both with -12mm offset to fit 05 Toyota Tacoma 4wd. When I ordered these, (mrwheeldeal.com) I noticed it had a 5.47" backspacing(wheelpros.com), so I asked the guy about it and he said guaranteed fit. I told him he sent the wrong wheels and he is trying to say that was what I wanted. I tried to fit just the wheel and it is right up to everything with almost no play. He is now trying to say that a stock size tire will fit and will get the manufacturer to email me to say it will fit. In other words, he doesnt want to get stuck with shipping costs. can anyone tell me if +18mm on17x9" wheels would fit? I am pretty sure they would rub big time without spacers even with stock 265/70/17 tires? Im so fkn' pissed right now

    I have 18x9's +18 offset with 275/65's
you can try them in the tire size calculator, its probably not much different than what you are looking for. Mine fit fine, minimal rubbing when in a bind, still have all mud flaps... if that helps. The guy at the tire store told me you couldn't fit 265's or 275's with the -12 offset, someone correct me if wrong.

thanks for the bump back... I wanted to run 285/70/17 (33x11.5) but the wheel looks like it is right in line with uca. I could probably run spacers but didn't want to go that way. Do you have any pics? Where is the rubbing at full bind.

how much space between tire and uca, any noticable rubbing on inside tire wall? I want to run at least 11.5" wide tires. Which truck is yours?

The blue 4 door is mine, they are attached on that thread so you have to sign in to see it. I have about an inch between UCA and tire wall. You will have to get new UCA's if you get 11.5 tire, there are alot of threads on here about tire sizes and what will fit. You might want to hit up Chris4x4, he knows more about lifts, tires, UCA's than I do. I don't think those 11.5" tires will fit on -12 offset rims though.

I belive you need a 0 offset, and 5" or less back space to fit 285's on a 17" rim.

Offset has nothing to do with the rim width.

its a long story, but ended up getting +18mm offset instead of -12mm off. The website had it wrong and had a-12 offset and 5.47" backspace (should have been 4.57") and the guy (Steve Hamilton from mr.wheeldeals) took it upon himself to find a bs close to the wrong one on site.......since I live on a rock in the middle of the Pacific,I wanted to make sure I got it right and with his guaranteed fitment, I bit. He offered to send me another for cheap, but I get stuck with shipping. Filed a dispute with paypal but lost. Now I have a nice set of wheels that wont fit without spacers.........hey, but I believe in Karma and being Kino'ole (doing the right thing)
