    those are purty welds

Quick question what is the point of a "race" kit if you are not gonna race it?

Honestly, I think I am just going to get the Regular camburg LT kit, with upgraded hiems and steering, bypasses, and bumps for the front..

Since your 2WD you should get about 14" travel, but there's a lot of guys that run the kit out there that can help you tune your setup to the ideal setup, which is where the real magic is

alot of metal, small engine, decent travel.
caged, camburg long travel, 50t leafpack (soon to be installed) light rack over cab, 5pt harnesses etc
linking it takes a ton more work, time, and money so that may be why he doesnt go that route.

yeah they are! and to get more travel, comes with spindles, and i believe a brake upgrade to wilwood right? at least for first gens.

    i agree!

what are they charging you for the kit without shocks? 5500? you can get a completely custom kit built by someone else that has vertical uniballs etc for less than that.. just an idea on that.

and if your not caging your truck in the future i would second think a race kit, because to use it to its full potential your truck would need to see race conditions at race speeds which needs a cage.. you have seen what can happen at low speeds. better safe than sorry!

but if i were you i wouldnt get a normal kit if you have the cash to spend.

Yeah the race kit comes with the race spindle, upgraded hubs, wilwoods and all that jazz. Its an amazing kit, But like the duck said.. It hasn't been tested in any way, Just designed.. Which iv'e come to see that could come with a lot of headaches.. So I think im just going to go with the regular kit with some upgrades, and call it a day on the front. I do have the money to spend on a race kit, but after paying for the race kit I dont know if i would have enough to get a good cage going at this point and time. Could in the future, but it would be kind of scary to be running my set up uncaged for an amount of time.... So im kinda choosing my safety over my fun.. haha. there is nothing wrong with the camburg LT kit.. Its still going to be bad ass, and enough fun for me :)

or you can cage first and save more money to buy the race kit!:)
