ok so i was doing the fog light mod and I screwed up i cut the green wire on accident but I was able to connect it back together and hook up the new wire for the relay. Anyways it was working fine and today i am in the in and out drive thru and my radio just turns off next thing I know my abs light is on and so is my emergency brake. So when i get home i turn off the truck and try to start it again it doesnt start!! it just clicks over and over again. like the starter isnt working or something. I check the wire and see that it came apart so what I did was remove all the new wire and rebent the relay so it would be like it was stock. I reconnected the green wire really good this time and made sure it wouldnt come undone. truck still wont start just clicks, clicks, clicks, but the radio and everything else seems to be working again but truck wont start!!! need help please. I am a retard!!!!

Disconnect the neg terminal on the battery for 5 minutes and then try again.

Also, whenever you work on any wiring, always disconnect battery first.

also check all ECU fuses because if one goes out...the ECU trips and starts lighting up stuff that is working :p

I just checked all fuses them seem to be fine. one hade what looked to be burn marks on it but the insides were fine. It seems like it wanted to crank over and then more clicking. I just disconnected the battery i will try again in five minutes.

You are assuming one caused the other. Maybe, maybe not. If I just heard about the symptoms I would say your charging system is at fault, and your battery is dead. Do the cable disconnect as suggested. If it's still dead, pull the battery and check it, and/or charge it. If the battery was dead, it's most likely a charging issue. That is sure what it sounds like to me.

sounds like something shorted out and drained your battery. try charging it after you get everything hooked up again

A jump won't fix anything. If it's dead, your charging system is the reason. You were driving the truck when all this happened so it's not just a run down battery. A jump only works if the charging system is good and the battery is run down.

Do what I described. Cable pull first, then pull the battery or diconnect both cables to charge it in the truck. I prefer to pull batteries out to charge them just in case it blows. It's just a good practice :D

Sounds like you have something shorting out, or a bad ground. Please check and double check everything you touched wiring wise ASAP.

I think you drained the battery. Use a multimeter and test the battery voltage. Just because accessories work doesn't mean that your battery has enough juice to start the truck.

He had enough juice to start the truck and he was driving it when it started going down. If the charging system were working and it was just a drained battery, it would have recharged. He could have caused some weird condition, but if the batttery is dead it is either the charging system or a completely shorted (internally) battery (not that likely IMO).

None yet, starting over!! OME lift w/ Dakars & 885's Remote Start w/ window control
First, undo everything that you did. Then read these links:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/33318-halp.html
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/114423-bad-news.html

and I agree with the battery and charging system.... Pull the battery, charge it up outside of the truck, meter it, and then check it with a meter 30 mins after you charge it... If the voltage isn't the same (or at least very similar), you've got a battery issue.

If you've got a dmm with an amperage meter in it, you can always hook up the meter to the positive terminal and to the positive clamp (as in an in-line setup) and see if you've got a drain on the system.

if that green wire stopped the charging system from getting power back to the batt he could have just been running off the battery, which could be why it is not starting now
