my slash used to roll all the time, then I LCGed it and it was fine. Then i upgraded the steering servo and now it rolls again.

Its the kit that someone posted earlier for STRC with the rustler chassis.

 

I still can't believe how fast that thing is out of the box. Throw a 3s and put the optional gears that it came with and it will be retarted fast

 

I actually just got off the phone with a guy from work that lower his with a different chassis and he competes with it.

 

extended rustler chassis for a lower center of gravity. Its extended with the strc kit to make it the same size as the slash.

Also anyone have thoughts on the Losi SCTE? I am looking at getting the roller and adding my own electronics.

 

In my opinion, Losi makes good stuff. The short course trucks are tons of fun, but honestly I wish I had gotten a stadium truck/truggy style R/C instead of a Short Course style truck.


If you're planning on putting in your own electronics I would suggest checking out this radio system. Fly Sky GT3. 2.4ghz for only 40 bucks. I ordered one today. I'll give it a full review once I have it installed.

 

What don't you like about the short course platform?

 

The Losi SCTE is a pig (its fat and durable), you are gonna want 1/8th scale ESC and a 540 4pole or a 1/8 motor at least (I'd suggest the Tekin Pro4 or the Tekin T8, paired with the RX8) (I like Tekin because it is one of the last American companies out there)
